Silent auction a highlight of Hats and Hooves

CIS of Coweta County board members Donna Brooks, Lisa McDonald and Sally Hensley show off a beautiful still life created by Newnan artist Sara Starnes Arnall. Arnall’s work is among many items to be offered at the silent auction to benefit CIS of Coweta County at our May 2 Hats and Hooves Derby Day fundraiser.

Organizers of the 2015 Hats and Hooves Derby Day fundraiser are busy collecting items for the silent auction that will be a highlight of the biggest fundraising event of the year for CIS of Coweta County.

“We are excited and overwhelmed by the number and quality of items already offered for this year’s silent auction,” said Gina Weathersby, Executive Director. “There’s something for every interest and taste, and we know people will love the items we are offering this year.”

The 2015 Hats and Hooves event will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the McRitchie-Hollis Museum at 74 Jackson St. in Newnan. The event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. Those attending will be treated to a live broadcast of the Kentucky Derby on several big screen TVs. Food and beverages will be served, and activities include live music and door prize giveaways. Tickets for the event are $75 per person and may be purchased online by registering at www.ciscoweta.org.
